MidAmerica Productions Announces 2025 Concert Season at Carnegie Hall

MidAmerica Productions announces its 2025 concert season.

For the purposes of this article, only vocal works are included. The New England Symphonic Ensemble accompanies all performances, unless otherwise noted.

The world premiere of Paul A. Aitken’s “Missa Pro Terra: A Mass for the Earth” features soloists soprano Michele Sexton and baritone Eliam Ramos. Participating choirs are the Cantabile Singers of Truro, Centenary United Methodist Church, Lakeside Middle School Select Choir, North Perth Children’s Choir, and Pompton Lakes High School Concert Choir. Aitken conducts.

The Amabile Choirs of London perform in “Tâpwê: Songs of Truth.”

Randall Thompson’s “Frostiana: Seven Country Songs by Robert Frost” is performed by the North Dakota State University Concert Choir Alumni Choir and Wagner College Choir. Jo Ann Miller conducts.

“The Artist Sings” concert features the Brooklyn High School for the Arts, Select Choir, Heritage Hall Middle School Chorus, and
Haysville Middle School Concert Choir. Together they perform Emily Crocker & John Jacobson’s ” We Reach,” Cristi Cary Miller’s “The Keel Row,” and Rollo Dilworth’s ” Stand Up,’ among works.

Mezzo-soprano Rebecca Ringle Kamarei serves as soloist in Tarik O’Regan’s “Triptych – Where Once We Stood” and James Erb’s arrangement of “Shenandoah.” Members of the James Madison University Carnegie Hall Collective perform as well. Jo-Anne van der Vat-Chromy conducts.

Soprano Eilana Lappalainen, mezzo-soprano Rebecca Ringle Kamarei, tenor Bernard Holcomb, and bass Victor Clark solo in Mozart’s “Coronation Mass” and Anthony Bernarducci’s “Kyrie.” The Clemson University Choirs, High Point Academy Honors Concert Choir, Indian Land High School Choirs, SC GSSM Chamber Singers, and Marlborough Chamber Choir also participate. Bernarducci conducts.

Nicole Baker leads the Jouyssance Early Music Ensemble, St. Philip the Apostle Church Choir, and the First United Methodist Church Sanctuary Choir in Claudio Monteverdi’s “Magnificat a sei voci.”

Cal Poly PolyPhonics, College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University Choral Arts Ensemble, and the Jouyssance Early Music Ensemble among others perform Handel’s “Zadok the Priest” and “The King Shall Rejoice,” Vivaldi’s “Magnificat,” and Bach’s “Sanctus in C major.” Scott D. Glysson and Bradley Miller conducts.

David Schildkret leads the Alumni and Friends of Bismarck Mandan Civic Chorus,Arizona  Cantilena Chorale, Bismarck Mandan Civic Chorus, and the Dayspring Celebration Chorale.

The Southern Union Sound, and the White Plains UMC Chancel Choir join.

Johnstown Symphony Chorus, Northwest Mississippi Community College Choir, and the Pitt-Johnstown Concert Choir.

Mozart’s “Coronation” Mass is conducted by William White and Rachel Samet conducts Mozart’s “Regina Coeli” in C Major, K.276. These works are performed by the Cherry Creek Chorale, D’Evelyn Concert Choir, Cal Poly Humboldt University Singers, and the University of Tennessee Southern Choirs.
