Pasadena Chorale Unveils 2024-25 Season

The Pasadena Chorale has unveiled its 2024-25 concert season.

“The Pasadena Chorale is growing, and that means more concert offerings and options. If you haven’t heard the Pasadena Chorale, there’s a lot to discover this year, ” said Founding Artistic & Executive Director Jeffrey Bernstein in an official press statement. “We’re proud to offer so many choral experiences at no cost to the community.”

Sunday Series: 24 Voices, Intimate Acoustics

First in the series is “Sonic Bloom,” a showcase featuring works by Tsaye Barnwell, Barber, Elaine Hagenberg, and the premiere of Jeffrey Bernstein’s “Sinfonietta.”

Performance Date: Sept. 8, 2024

Then comes “Twilight of the Year.”

Performance Date: Dec. 14 & 15, 2024

That is followed by “Rebirth,” which features Renaissance choral music.”

Performance Date: March 9, 2024.

Celebrating American Composers

“The Light of Hope Returning” features Shawn Kirchner’s work with the composer at the piano.

Performance Date: Dec. 4, 2024

Then comes “Sing America, Part One: I, Too” which features music by Jen Wang, Florence Price, and Margaret Bonds.

Performance Date: Feb. 12, 2025

“Listening to the Future” showcases new works composed by Pasadena area high school students mentored by composer and Pasadena Chorale singing member Jen Wang.

Performance Date: May 10, 2025

“Sing America, Part Two: E Pluribus Unum” showcases music by Copland, Bernstein, Thompson, and other American composers.

Performance Date: June 11, 2025
