University of Oklahoma’s University Theatre Unveils 2026-27 Season

The University of Oklahoma’s University Theatre has announced its 2026-27 season. Here are the opera performances on offer.

Johann Strauss II’s “Die Fledermaus” is University Theatre’s annual holiday production. This staging relocates the action to 1940s Hollywood.

Performance Date: Dec. 3 – 6, 2026

“Il re pastore” receives its world stage premiere at OU, the first staged production of an opera by composer Maria Teresa Agnesi, whose work is receiving renewed international attention.

Performance Date: March 4 – 7, 2027
