World Premiere Recording of Carl Heinrich Graun’s Opera ‘Adriano in Siria’ to be Released

The world premiere recording of Carl Heinrich Graun’s opera, “Adriano in Siria” is set to be released on June 13.

“Adriano in Siria” was presented in a production by the Musikfestspiele Potsdam Sanssouci and recorded in June 2024. The cast features the countertenor trio of Valer Sabadus, Bruno de Sá, and Federico Fiorio, alongside sopranos Roberta Mameli and Keri Fuge, tenor David Tricou, and Ensemble 1700. Dorothee Oberlinger directs. Olga Watts serves as musical assistance.

The recording is a co-production by Deutschlandfunk Kultur and deutsche harmonia mundi, in collaboration with the Musikfestspiele Potsdam Sanssouci.

Streaming will be made available on the release date. Physical CDs are available on request.
