Knechtsteden Early Music Festival announces its 2025 line up.

The modern world premiere of Francesco Conti’s “La Colpa Originale” (“Original Sin”) stars Timothy Morgan, Jiayu Jin, David Tricou, Alice Lackner, and Luigi di Donato, with Ensemble 1700. Artist in residence Dorothee Oberlinger directs. A pre-concert talk is scheduled.

Bruno de Sá and Ensemble 1700 perform in “Universe Alessandro Scarlatti.” Dorothee Oberlinger leads. An Introductory talk is held prior to the concert.

Hannah Morrison performs with pianist Christine Schornsheim in the salon concert, “Lady Hamilton.” Gerrit Berenike Heiter provides readings and living pictures.

“Stabat Mater – Pergolesi & Traetta” features Anna Nesyba, Jaro Kirchgessner, Johannes Gaubitz, and Matthias Vieweg with Concerto Cologne and the Rhenish Choir. Edzard Burchards conducts. An introductory talk is held.

Comet Musicke presents works by Diego Ortiz in “Romantic Night.” A pre-show talk is scheduled.

“Handel & Scarlatti In Rome” closes the season. Martha Matscheko, Tabea Mitterbauer, Jaro Kirchgessner, Johannes Gaubitz, and Richard Logiewa -Stojanovic are soloists. They perform with Rheinische Kantorei and Concerto Köln. Edzard Burchards conducts. An introductory talk is held prior to the concert.
