The season opens with a special concert in honor of Tania León, the 2025 recipient of the William Schuman Award given by Columbia University School of the Arts. The program showcases her body of work. Sorpanos Rachel Doehring Jackson and
Sophie Thompson are soloists.

The Gesualdo Six perform motets and madrigals by Palestrina and Gesualdo.

Stile Antico present quintessential Renaissance works.

The Tallis Scholars sing Tallis, Byrd, Britten and a world premiere Miller commission by Matthew Martin.

The Marian Consort presents music from 16th century Rome.
Performance Date: February 14, 2026
Composer and vocalist Lisa Bielawa performs several of her compositions along the premiere of a new work commissioned by Miller Theatre. Bielawa is joined by the Contemporaneous ensemble. David Bloom conducts.

The International Contemporary Ensemble performs several recent pieces by Hannah Kendall including a world premiere Miller Theatre commission. The month before her Composer Portrait, Hannah’s chamber opera The Knife of Dawn will be presented by the Dutch National Opera.
