Miller Theatre Unveils 2024-25 Season

Miller Theatre has announced its 2024-25 season. Here is a rundown of the classical vocal performances on offer.

First up is a showcase featuring the works of Courtney Bryan as part of the “Composer Portraits” series. The program features three works, including “Requiem” and “Blessed.” The performance will showcase vocalists Damian Norfleet and Alice Teyssier as well as the Quince Ensemble and International Contemporary Ensemble. Rebekah Heller conducts the program.

Performance Date: Sept. 12, 2024

The Sixteen will present “The Deer’s Cry,” a program featuring music by Byrd, Pärt, and Tallis.

Performance Date: Oct. 26, 2024

The Marian Consort presents “Music from Renaissance Scotland.” The program includes works by Josquin des Prez, Claudin de Sermisy, David Peebles, and Johannes Lupi, among others.

Performance Date: Nov. 16, 2024

The Tallis Scholars showcase “In dulci jubilo.” The program includes works by Hildegard von Bingen, Hernando Franco, Orlande de Lassus, Palestrina, Pärt, and Tomás Luis de Victoria, among others.

Performance Date: Dec. 5, 2024

Stile Antico performs “The Prince of Music,” which focuses on works by Palestrina, Allegri, Anerio, and de Lassus, among others.

Performance Date: March 29, 2025

As part of the “Composer Portraits,” the company will showcase the works of Jessie Montgomery. Among the performers is mezzo-soprano Alicia Hall Moran.
