This article only features vocal performances.
First up is a workshop for the upcoming performances of Giacomelli’s “Cesare in Egitto.” Soloists include Arianna Vendittelli, Emőke Barath, Filippo Mineccia, Margherita Maria Sala, Valerio Contaldo, and Federico Fiorio. Ottavio Dantone conducts the Accademia Bizantina.

Marian Polin leads the Ensemble of the Innsbruck Court Music in a concert of works by Andrea Gabrieli.

Luigi De Donato stars in “Polifemo” with College 1704 under the direction of harpsichordist Vaclav Luks. Together they present works by Antonio Cesti, Domenico Alberti, George Frideric Handel, and others.

Ottavio Dantone leads another workshop for Francesco Bartolomeo Conti’s “Il trionfo della Fama.”

Tomas Luis de Victoria’s “Missa Laetatus sum à 12” is presented by the Capella Claudiana, Marini Consort Innsbruck, and organist Lukas Ausserdorfer. Brigitte Wurzer conducts.

Benedetta Mazzucato, Sophie Rennert, Nicolo Balducci, Martin Vanberg, and Riccardo Novaro lead the full performance of “Il trionfo della Fama.” They are joined by NovoCanto, La Stagione Armonica, and Accademia Bizantina under the baton of Ottavio Dantone.

The “Ö1 Klassik-Treffpunkt” makes stop at the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music on its summer tour. Artistic Director Eva-Maria Sens speaks on the creation of the festival. Neima Fischer and Robin Johannsen, who stared in last year’s operas, join the conversation.

Jakub Józef Orliński gives a concert of works by Claudio Monteverdi, Biagio Marini, Giulio Caccini, Giovanni Cesare Netti, and others with the Pomegranate ensemble.

Joachim Mayer serves as musical director for Capella Wilthinensis in the performance of Johann Ernst Eberlin’s “Missa solemnis brevis.”

Ensemble Zefiro and Dancers from the Street Motion Studio Innsbruck give a concert featuring the works of Johann Joseph Fux, Antonio Vivaldi, Franscesco Geminiani, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and more.

Neima Fischer takes on the title role in Handel’s “Arianna.” She is joined by Andrea Gavagnin, Ester Ferraro, Josipa Bilić, Mathilde Ortscheidt, and Giacomo Nanni. Angelo Michele Errico conducts the Baroque Orchestra:Young.

Soloists in “Bach Cantatas” are Carolyn Sampson, Alexander Chance, Benjamin Bruns, and Christian Immler. The Bach Collegium Japan is led by Masaaki Suzuki.

“Chants and songs from the “Codex Buranus” (11th–13th century)” is presented by Theatrum Instrumentorum. Aleksandar Karlic conducts.

The Stams Abbey Music Choir and Paluselli Consort Stams perform Johann Michael Haydn’s “Missa sub titulo Sancti Francisci Seraphici,”MH826. Jannik Trescher leads the Paluselli Consort Stams.

Christoph Graupner’s “Dido, Queen of Carthago” stars Robin Johannsen, Alicia Amo, Jones Martinez, Andreas Wolf, Jose Antonio Lopez, Jorge Franco, and Jacob Lawrence. Andrea Marcon conducts the La Cetra Baroque Orchestra. Deda Cristina Colonna is the stage director.

Silvia Frigato and Mathilde Ortscheidt present “Handel & Greber” with the Academy for Early Music Berlin.
Performance Date: August 26, 2024 (Ambras Palace Innsbruck, Spanish Hall)
The final concert is the 15th annual Cesti Competition. The finalists of the Baroque singing competition perform with Talenti Vulcanici under the direction of Stefano Demicheli. Winners are to participate in “Baroque Opera: Young 2025.”
