Fatma Said, Benjamin Bruns, Jonathan Tetelman & Eleonora Buratto Lead Berlin Philharmonic’s 2024-25 Season

The Berlin Philharmonic has announced its 2024-25 season. Here is a look at the vocal performances.

Jonathan Nott conducts pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard and the Ernst Senff Chor Berlin choir in works by Missy Mazzoli, Peter Eötvös, and Charles Ives.

Performance Dates: Sept. 7 & 8, 2024

Jakub Józef Orliński is joined by Aleksander Dębicz, Wojciech Gumiński, Marcin Ułanowski, and Mateusz Banasiuk Tontechnik for works by Aleksander Dębicz, Francesco Nicola Fago, Henry Purcell, George Frideric Handel, Claudio Monteverdi, and Antonio Vivaldi.

Performance Date: Sept. 26 2024

Juanjo Mena conducts harpist Marie-Pierre Langlamet and the Rundfunkchor Berlin in works by Gabriel Pierné, Germaine Tailleferre, and Maurice Ravel.

Performance Dates: Sept. 26-28, 2024

Sakari Oramo conducts pianist Kirill Gerstein, the Men of the Rundfunkchor Berlin, and Ladies of the Rundfunkchor Berlin in works by Claude Debussy and Ferruccio Busoni.

Giovanni Antonini conducts a program of works by Joseph Haydn and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Fatma Said is the soloist.

Simone Young conducts Vida Miknevičiūtė in works by Wolfgang Rihm and Anton Bruckner.

Performance Dates: Dec. 6-8, 2024

Kirill Petrenko conducts Rachmanioff’s “Francesca da Rimini” with Galina Cheplakova, Dmytro Popov, Dmitry Golovnin, Vladislav Sulimsky, and Ilia Kazakov. The program also includes Sofia Gubaidulina’s “The wrath of God”

Daniel Harding conducts Ladies of the Rundfunkchor Berlin in works by Brett Dean, Arnold Schoenberg, and Gustav Holst.

Performance Date: Jan. 23 & 25, 2025

Robin Ticciati conducts the Chamber Orchestra of Europe with soloist Iestyn Davies. They will perform works by George Frideric Handel and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Performance Date: Jan. 28, 2025

Marin Alsop conducts the Rundfunkchor Berlin in works by Outi Tarkiainen, Brett Dean, Aaron Copland, and Heitor Villa-Lobos.

Performance Dates: Feb. 20-22, 2025

Roderick Cox conducts the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie and the RIAS Kammerchor in works by Missy Mazzoli, Luciano Berio, and Igor Stravinsky.

Performance Date: April 2, 2025

Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly” will be conducted by Kirill Petrenko with a cast that includes Eleonora Buratto, Teresa Iervolino, Jonathan Tetelman, and Tassis Christoyannis.

Johann Adolf Hasse’s “Serpentes ignei in deserto” will star Carlo Vistoli, Bruno de Sá, David Hansen, Christophe Dumaux, Paul-Antoine Bénos-Djian, and Mélissa Petit. Les Accents is conducted by Thibault Noally.

Performance Date: May 19, 2025

The 25 years “Philharmonic Salon” will feature speaker Heikko Deutschmann, members of the Berliner Philharmoniker, soprano Anna Prohaska, and pianist Cordelia Höfer.

Performance Date: June 8, 2025

Gustavo Dudamel conducts a program of music by Beethoven and Tchaikovsky.  A speaker and soprano will be announced.

Baden Baden Festival
