Alexa Frankian Named 2026 Recipient of Igor Gorin Memorial Award

Soprano Alexa Frankian has been named the 2026 recipient of the Igor Gorin Memorial Award, presented by the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona.

The award recognizes exceptional young vocal artists demonstrating outstanding promise and artistry in the field of opera. This honor comes at a pivotal moment in her career, as she joins the Adler Fellowship at San Francisco Opera for the 2026 season. She previously served as a Resident Artist at the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia and completed two seasons at the Merola Opera Program. Frankian is a graduate of the University of Toronto and the Glenn Gould School at the Royal Conservatory of Music,
