Bella Voce has announced its 2026-27 season, celebrating Artistic Director Andrew Lewis’s 20th season.

The season opens with “How to Fold the Wind,” a program of contemporary works featured throughout Lewis’s tenure, including Caroline Shaw’s “How to Fold the Wind,” a Bella Voce co-commission, and Veljo Tormis’s “Curse Upon Iron,” alongside new works by Ed Frazier Davis, Matthew Recio, and Julia Wolfe.

Performance Date: Sept. 19-20, 2026

The Bella Voce Chorus and Sinfonia present their annual performance of Händel’s “Messiah,” an unabridged, one night presentation featuring period instrument musicians alongside the chamber chorus.

Performance Date: Nov. 22, 2026

“Baltic Solstice,” the ensemble’s holiday concert, features choral works from the Baltics and beyond, including Einojuhani Rautavaara’s “Magnificat,” Arvo Pärt’s “O Antiphons,” and arrangements of traditional Scandinavian carols.

Performance Date: Dec. 19-20, 2026

Bella Voce’s Polyphony Camp returns with a program centered on the Latin Mass, offering participants the opportunity to rehearse and perform alongside members of Bella Voce in sessions led by Andrew Lewis.

Performance Date: Feb. 6-7, 2027

The season concludes with “The English Cathedral,” a program of choral organ works from the Anglican tradition presented in partnership with Opus 327 and organist Meg Cutting, featuring the Bella Voce Chorus alongside St. Luke’s 1922 Opus 327 pipe organ. The program includes Herbert Howells’s “Requiem” and works for chorus and organ by Joanna Marsh, Cecilia McDowall, and others.
