Sophie Koch to Perform With Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia

Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia has announced that mezzo-soprano Sophie Koch will perform Chausson’s “Poème de l’amour et de la mer,” Op. 19 in the concert.

Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 1 in F Minor, Op. 10 will be performed in the rest of the concert. Roberto González-Monjas will conduct.

Sophie Koch recently performed the role of Kundry in Wagner’s “Parsifal” at the Théâtre du Capitole; the role of Marguerite in Berlioz’s “La Damnation de Faust” at the Opéra de Monte Carlo; the role of Nicklausse in Offenbach’s “Les Contes d’Hoffmann” at the Teatro Colón; and the role of Octavian in Richard Strauss’ “Der Rosenkavalier” at the Semperoper Dresden and Teatro Municipal.

The performance will take place on April 30, 2021, at 8 p.m. CET at the Coliseum in A Coruña.
