
Salzburg Festival Announces Final Numbers for 2025 Season
By Francisco SalazarThe Salzburg Festival has announced that its 2025 season sold 98.4 percent of its performances.
The festival, which held 174 performances in 45 days at 16 venues, noted that this year saw 256,600 guests from 88 countries, including 49 non-European ones.
This year, 43 performances of six staged, three semi-staged and three concert productions of opera were presented while there were 90 concerts. Additionally, the festival broadcast several performances on television and streaming as well as on radio. The festival also raised 90,000 Euros for charitable causes.
This season the Salzburg Festival presented such operas as “Maria Stuarda” with Lisette Oropesa, “Macbeth” with Asmik Grigorian, “Giulio Cesare in Egitto,” “Andrea Chenier” with Piotr Beczala, and “Three Sisters,” among others.
