
Marina Comparato & Gianni Fabbrini Tour Italy with ‘Romantic Florence’

Marina Comparato and Gianni Fabbrini are set to tour Italy following the release of their album “Romantic Florence.”
The tour is dedicated to the chamber vocal music of Luigi Gordigiani, the 19th-century composer affectionately known as “the Italian Schubert.” The tour opened on Jan. 31 at the Conservatory of Reggio Emilia and was followed by a concert on Feb. 1 at the Palazzo dei Pio, Carpi.
The final two dates of the tour will be on Feb. 8 at the Palazzo Blu, Pisa and on Feb. 14 at the Sala Baldini, Rome. New dates will be announced in other Italian cities later in the year.
The album which was released by Dynamic was recorded at the Teatro del Maggio in Florence and features numerous world premieres.
Comparato has performed at the Teatro del Maggio, Teatro San Carlo, La Fenice, Teatro Real, Glyndebourne Festival, Opera di Roma, Teatro Regio in Turin, Opéra deParis, and Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires. She specializes in Mozart roles, Baroque, bel canto, Romantic, and twentieth-century repertoire.
