
Oper Wuppertal Postpones Premiere of ‘The Lodger’
By David SalazarOper Wuppertal has postponed its premiere of Phyllis Tate’s “The Lodger.”
Per an official press release, the decision resulted from a desire to ensure that it meets the artistic standards of the company.
“‘The Lodger’ promises to be an extraordinary and captivating production that will captivate audiences with its innovative set design and outstanding artistic performance,” the company noted in a press release issued on Feb. 18, 2025. “The postponement to the next season will allow Oper Wuppertal to present the production in its full splendour and offer visitors a special opera experience.”
“The Lodger” will be directed by Greg Eldridge and features design by Alyson Cummins and costumes by Evelien van Camp. It was originally scheduled for March 29, 202,5 but will now open during the 2025-26 season.
