
Nathan Felix’s ‘Mirrors’ Set for Premiere at The Bass Museum of Art in Miami
By David SalazarComposer Nathan Felix will present “Mirrors” at The Bass Museum of Art in Miami.
The immersive work, which will take place on May 15, 2025, will follow the story of two immigrant nurses who struggle with a new identity and cultural challenges in the United States. The singers will weave around the museum, and audiences are encouraged to follow along.
The cast stars Yingxi Li, Lovell Rose, Madison Marie McIntosh, and Pedro Carreras. The showcase also includes a string ensemble comprised of Naeun Ju, Angie Bolivar, and Natalie Van Winkle.
The performance kicks off at 7 p.m. local time.
Felix is a Mexican-American composer who has premiered 16 operas, four symphonies, and numerous chamber works in Spain, Japan, Australia, Bulgaria, Portugal, China, Sweden, Denmark, Mongolia, and the United States.
