Nadine Sierra has canceled her upcoming performances at the Teatro Real de Madrid and Carnegie Hall.
The soprano took to Instagram and said that due to fatigue she was canceling her upcoming performances.
As a result, Lisette Oropesa will sing the Brahms German Requiem alongside Quinn Kelsey and the Met Orchestra and Chorus at Carnegie Hall. Meanwhile, Salome Jicia will replace Sierra at the Teatro Real.
The Brahms Requiem is set to be performed on June 15, while the Teatro Real’s “Turandot” will open on July 3 and will star Anna Pirozzi in the title role, Jorge de León, and Adam Palka.
Sierra returns to the stage for productions of “La Traviata” and “Rigoletto” at the Arena di Verona.
