
Andréa Walker, Nikola Printz, Key’mon Murrah Star in Ars Lyrica Houston’s 2026-27 Season

Sopranos Alicia Gianni, Amia Langer, and Andréa Walker and tenor Richard Pittsinger present works in Charpentier’s “Actéon” and Rameau’s “Hippolyte et Aricie” (Act IV, Scenes 1-3).
Performance Date: September 25, 2026
Mezzo-soprano Nikola Printz performs mad scenes from Händel’s “Alcina and Hercules.”
Performance Date: October 31, 2026
Alto Cecilia Duarte and tenor Thomas O’Neill are soloists in Händel’s “Let Thy Hand Be Strengthened” and Bach’s “Magnificat.” They are joined by the Moores School Concert Chorale. Anthony Maglione directs.
Performance Date: December 4, 2026
Opening the 2027 season is countertenor Key’mon Murrah and pianist Patricia Garcia Gil in the concert titled, “Viennese Dreamers.”
Performance Date: January 15, 2027
Soprano Estelí Gomez makes her Ars Lyrica debut in “Soy la Diosa,” a joint commission by Ars Lyrica and Les Délices from composer Gilda Lyons. The libretto is based on Latin American folklore and historical legends.
Performance Date: March 6, 2027
Händel’s “Oreste” is presented in collaboration with the Moores Opera Center at the University of Houston. The all-student cast is accompanied by the Moores School Symphony Orchestra, augmented by key players from Ars Lyrica Houston. Kathleen Belcher is the stage director and producer. Matthew Dirst is the music director and conductor.
