Charlottesville Opera to Showcase ‘Scalia / Ginsburg’
By David SalazarCharlottesville Opera will present Derrick Wang’s “Scalia / Ginsburg.”
The opera, set for showcases on March 28 and 29, 2025, will star Carlos Ahrens as Justice Antonin Scalia and Karli Forte as Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Adam Rodgers fills out the cast as the Commentator. Claire Choquette directs and Michael Slon conducts.
Each performance will feature a unique set of panelists. The March 28 showcase will feature Scalia’s daughter Meg Bryce, Ginsburg’s goddaughter Katherine Nies, Law Professor Edmund W. Kitch, and Kathryn Barber of McGuireWoods.
On March 29, the panelists will include Bryce, Nies, and Law Professor John F. Duffy.
The March 28 showcase kicks off at 7 p.m. while the following one commences at 2 p.m.
