IN Series announces its 2025-26 season, “IN Principio” consists solely of premiering works.

The world premiere staging of the Baroque work, “St John the Baptist” opens the season. Local singers perform in collaboration with New York’s Catapult Opera and Baltimore-based designers.

Performance Dates: October 4 – 19, 2025

Marking IN Series’ first fully commissioned opera, “Delta King’s Blues” is an immersive musical journey created by Baltimore artist and Cardwell Dawson Artist Fellow Jarrod Lee, with music by acclaimed composer Damien Geter.

Performance Dates: December 6 – 21, 2025

The “Passion Plays” festival features premieres of “Only the Air,” “Passio,” and “For Women Serving Time.” 

Performance Dates: March 6 – 29, 2026

Artistic Director Timothy Nelson’s new opera inspired by the ancient Indian play “Shakuntala” by Kalidasa makes its premiere.

Performance Dates: June 6 – 21, 2026
