Toledo Opera has announced a program to offer veterans complimentary tickets for its production of “South Pacific.”

Per an official press release, the company will provide 30 tickets for each performance to veterans “in recognition of their service and sacrifice.”

“We are deeply honored to offer complimentary tickets to our veterans. This timeless musical, with its themes of courage, love, and resilience, holds a special resonance for those who have served our nation. It is a privilege to share this experience with the brave people who have given so much for our freedom. This is just a small way for us to express our gratitude and to invite them to join us in celebrating the power of storytelling and music,” said Toledo Opera General Director James M. Norman, per an official press release.

“South Pacific” is the company’s final production of the 2024-25 season. The work will be presented on Feb. 14 and 16, 2025 at the Valentine Theatre in Toledo. It is directed by Norman and conducted by J. Ernest Green.
