
Gerda Lissner Foundation to Showcase Peabody Conservatory Artists at The Greenspace in NYC
By David SalazarThe Gerda Lissner Foundation will present an afternoon concert featuring outstanding young artists from the Peabody Conservatory on Sunday, March 22 at The Greene Space at WQXR in New York City.
Sopranos Rira Kim and Sara Nealley, mezzo-sopranos Cierra Byrd and Julie Knott, tenor Daniel LaRue, baritone Holden Turner, and pianist Laurie Rogers will take on works by Weill, Schubert, Mahler, Mozart, and others.
The program will be curated and hosted by soprano Elizabeth Futral, Distinguished Chair of Vocal Studies at Peabody, with music direction by Laurie Rogers, Head of Music Staff at Opera Saratoga and Music Director of Peabody Opera Theater. The afternoon will also feature a special appearance by celebrated Peabody alumna Cierra Byrd.
The event commences at 4 p.m. local time.
