2025 Operalia Competition to Be Held in Bulgaria

Operalia has announced that the 2025 edition will be held in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The competition said that Rolex will present Operalia at the Ivan Vazov National Theatre and the Bulgaria Concert Hall.
The quarterfinals will be held on Oct. 20 & 21 at Bulgaria Concert Hall while the Semifinals will be on Oct. 22 at the Bulgaria Concert Hall. Finally, the finals are on Oct. 26 at Ivan Vazov National Theatre.
The competition will be held in partnership with Operalia winner Sonya Yoncheva’s SY11 Events.
Created in 1993 by Plácido Domingo, the competition has been held in Mumbai, Russia, Los Angeles, Prague, Cape Town, Riga, Verona, and London, among others. Past winners include Kathleen O’Mara, Le Bu, Juliana Grigoryan, Anthony León, Adriana Gonzalez, Xabier Anduaga, Adela Zaharia, and Levy Sekgapane.
