Operalia Announces 2024 Competition in Mumbai

Operalia has announced its 2024 competition.

The organization said, “Rolex proudly presents the 2024 edition of Operalia in Mumbai, India from Sunday, September 15 to Saturday, September 21 at the National Centre for Performing Arts.”

Operalia will be open to singers of all voice types, between the ages of 20 and 32 years old and the deadline for applications is April 5, 2024.

The 2023 Operalia competition was held in Cape Town and saw Julie Roset and Stephano Park win the top prizes. Other notable winners of the competition include Lisette Oropesa, Ailyn Perez, Sonya Yoncheva, Aida Garifullina, Ivan Ayon-Rivas, Adriana Gonzalez, Xabier Anduaga, Adela Zaharia, Pretty Yende, and Lise Davidsen win.

Operalia was founded in 1993 by Plácido Domingo to discover and help launch the careers of the most promising young opera singers of today.
