Glyndebourne Names 2026 Jerwood Young Artists
By David SalazarGlyndebourne has named the five singers selected for its 2026 Jerwood Young Artists programme.
The 2026 cohort includes soprano Seohyun Go, mezzo-soprano Angelina Dorlin-Barlow, tenor Liam Forrest, and baritones Hector Bloggs and Oliver Williams. The programme, running since 2010 and supported by Jerwood Foundation, pairs the artists with leading conductors, directors and vocal coaches over the course of the Festival.
Go, a South Korean soprano, is currently studying at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and won the school’s Gold Medal in 2025. Dorlin-Barlow, a British mezzo-soprano, holds a scholarship at the Royal College of Music International Opera Studio and recently created a role in the world premiere of Charlotte Marlow’s “Link in My Bio.” Forrest, a tenor from Fife, graduated with distinction from the Royal Northern College of Music and will join the International Opera Studio of the Staatsoper Stuttgart later this year. Bloggs, a British baritone and Guildhall graduate, made his Glyndebourne debut last summer in “Il barbiere di Siviglia” and recently covered Conte di Almaviva at Opera North. Williams, also a baritone completing his studies at Guildhall, will cover the title role in Britten’s “Billy Budd” at Glyndebourne this season.
The 2026 Jerwood Young Artists can be heard in pre-performance recitals during Glyndebourne Festival 2026, as well as at a Brighton Festival concert on May 18. The Festival runs May 21 through August 30.
