Works & Process to Spotlight Met Opera’s ‘Antony and Cleopatra’

Works & Process is set to present The Metropolitan Opera: John Adams’s “Antony and Cleopatra.”

The presentation is set for April 28, 2025, at the Guggenheim New York in the Peter B. Lewis Theater.

Ahead of this historic premiere, Met General Manager Peter Gelb will moderate a discussion with director Elkhanah Pulitzer, set designer Mimi Lien, and choreographer Annie-B Parson.

Soprano Julia Bullock, bass-baritone Gerald Finley, tenor Paul Appleby, and pianist Laura Poe will perform highlights from the score and then join the discussion.

“Antony and Cleopatra” will premiere on May 12, 2025 with American composer John Adams conducting the work. The work will be performed seven times through June 7, 2025.
