Watch Countertenor Michał Sławecki’s Short Film Created During Lockdown

Countertenor Michał Sławecki,  Polish composer Konrad Kucz, director Tadeusz Kabicz and director of photography Marcin Szołtysek have produced a short film entitled “Hie ego novi.”

The new film, which was inspired by the lockdown and filmed during the COVID-19 pandemic is a music video that has garnered 4,000 views on YouTube and was awarded Best Music Video Award at the Sweden Film Awards and Best Music Video Award at the Festival de Cine Estudiantil FENACIES.

The film was initially created for the Polish Opera Now platform, which is meant to give more online visibility to opera singers and unite artists across different mediums. Other opera singers who have created films for Polish Opera Now include baritone Andrzej Dobber and mezzo-soprano Małgorzata Walewska.
