Toledo Opera is set to present Verdi’s “Aida” for the first time in over a decade.

The opera will be performed on Oct. 16 and 18 at the Valentine Theatre under conductor Adam Turner.

Stage director Linda Brovsky will direct the production featuring choreography by Matthew Steffens. Meanwhile the cast will include Mary Elizabeth Williams in the title role, Brendan Boyle as Radamès, Lauren Decker as Amneris, and Nmon Ford as Amonasro.

The cast will be rounded out by bass-baritone and Toledo Opera Resident Artist Timothy Krueger as the King of Egypt, tenor and Toledo Opera Resident Artist Jeremy Do as the Messenger, and soprano and Toledo Opera Resident Artist Jenna Grissom as the High Priestess.

It will also feature professional dancers, Nicholas Sipes, Ryan Lindeman, Jasmine Ward, Maurice Ivy, Mike Baerga, and Holly Wilder.
