Versailles Royal Opera Orchestra has announced that Gerret and Tatiana Copeland, the owners of Bouchaine Vineyards, will be sponsoring the organization’s debut in North America this summer.
The ensemble heads to Festival Napa Valley to part of “La Fille du Régiment” as well as a series of baroque works at Opus One Premieres. Then the company heads to New York City for “Versailles in New York” alongside Death of Classical.
“Art and music have always meant a lot to me, and have so enriched my life”, says Bouchaine Owner Tatiana Copeland, who is also a founding benefactor of Festival Napa Valley. “I have always felt a very special connection to music because of my upbringing. My mother’s uncle was the famous Russian composer and pianist, Sergei Rachmaninoff. He was very close to my mother throughout his life, and I was named after his daughter, Tatiana. Because of my background, I truly believe that it is my duty, and my deepest pleasure, to support music and musicians worldwide. My husband and I are thrilled to bring the incredible Versailles Orchestra to Napa Valley and the Festival.”
Bouchaine was founded by the Copelands and is a leading producer of Chardonnay and Pinot Nooir in the Carneros AVA.
