Death of Classical has unveiled its 2025 season Here is a rundown of the vocal performances on offer.

First up is “Cocktails, Comestibles & Callas.” The event will be divided up into three parts with a “sunset serenade” featuring The Grand Street Stompers. When twilight sets in, there will be a Callas Lookalike contest hosted by Creatine Price. Then at night, there will be a performance of Callas’ favorite arias by artists of the Metropolitan Opera’s Lindemann Program and Laffont Competition.

Performance Date: May 23, 2025

“Versailles in New York” will feature the Versailles Royal Opera Orchestra and the performance of several opera arias by countertenor Franco Fagioli with conductor Stefan Plewniak. The performance will be preceded by an opportunity for some fine dining at Via Carota.

Performance Date: July 23, 2025

Closing out the year is “The Little Match Girl Passion” by David Lang. The work will be performed by Ekmeles.

Performance Date: Dec. 2-4, 2025
