Tigran Arakelyan & Laurel Semerdjian Lead Mahler’s Symphony No. 3 at Northwest Mahler Festival

The Northwest Mahler Festival will showcase a collaboration of two acclaimed Armenian-American artists on August 1, 2026.

The concert will showcase Music Director Tigran Arakelyan leading the festival orchestra in Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 3 at the Shorewood Performing Arts Center with mezzo-soprano Laurel Semerdjian alongside the Northwest Boychoir (Artistic Director Jacob Winkler) and a Women’s Chorus (Artistic Director Beth Ann Bonnecroy).

Arakelyan has been the Music Director of the Northwest Mahler Festival since 2018 and is known for his dynamic interpretations and visionary leadership. Meanwhile, Semerdjian has performed at the Pittsburgh Opera, Tacoma Opera, Carnegie Hall, Opera Southwest, St. Petersburg Opera Company, Florentine Opera, and Sarasota Opera.
