The Mandle Philharmonic is set to present a special open-air choral symphony concert in Toronto on Friday, July 24, 2026.

The showcase will feature the ensemble performing Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 2, the “Resurrection” Symphony, at the RBC Amphitheatre. This is the first time that Mahler has been performed in an outdoors venue in Toronto.

Dubbed “The Sound of Resurrection Under the Stars,” the event will bring together more than 200 professional musicians and singers, including the MandlePhil Choir. Conductor Mandle Cheung will lead the showcase, with soprano Lesley Bouza and mezzo-soprano Alex Hetherington as featured soloists.

“Mahler’s Second Symphony is one of the most overwhelming and transformative musical experiences ever written, and hearing it outdoors under the night sky will be truly extraordinary,” Cheung said, per an official press release.

The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. local time.
