Thomas Hampson has canceled the first two concerts of his Winterreise tour.

In a statement, he said, “Due to illness, I have had to cancel the first two concerts on my Winterreise tour with Ksenija Sidorova. However, I am on the mend and plan to be back on stage for our performance in Zürich!”

The first concert was set for Feb. 27 in Schloss Elmau and the second was on March 1 in Reformierte Kirche Seon.

The baritone is set to return on March 2 for the third concert in Zurich. Other stops on the tour are in Beethoven-Haus Bonn, Konzert Theater Coesfeld, and Het Concertgebouw. The tour also includes Lieder by Kurt Weill and works for Accordion solo by Piazzolla.
