The Los Angeles Master Chorale will celebrate its 60th anniversary with GALA 2025.

Pianist and composer Billy Childs will perform at GALA 2025. Childs has collaborated with the Los Angeles Master Chorale on several occasions. The Master Chorale premiered three commissioned works by Childs.  Also taking place at GALA 2025 is the Master Chorale’s 80-singer “Surround Sing,” as well as Doug Aitken’s “Lightscape,” a large-scale immersive multi-screen film installation and soundscape featuring original compositions created by Aitken with Grant Gershon and the Chorale.

This fundraising event will benefit its artistic and education programs, including Youth Chorus LA, and honor the life and legacy of Marshall A. Rutter, a lifelong music enthusiast and a devoted champion of choral music. Jennifer Diener, Kiki Ramos Gindler, and Jenny S. Kim are the GALA 2025 co-chairs.

The Los Angeles Master Chorale’s 2025 GALA will take place on March 22, at the Marciano Art Foundation.
