A Fine Agitation
Navona Records releases Michael J. Evans’ work which is an eight-part stage work based on Susan B. Anthony’s letters during her infamous voting trial. The recording features the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava, conductor Stanislav Vavřínek, the National Moravian-Silesian Theater Choir, and Bella Adamova.
Kurt Weill: The Prophets
Capriccio releases Kurt Weill’s canatata featuring Albert Dohmen, Kurt Azesberger, the Wiener Jeunesse-Chor, Wiener Motettenchor, and Gumpoldskirchner Spatzen. The album also includes Four Walt Whitman Songs for voice and orchestra with Thomas Hampson, ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, and Dennis Russell Davies.
César Franck: Hulda
Franck’s rarely performed opera is being released featuring a cast that includes Jennifer Holloway, Edgaras Montvidas, Judith Van Wanroij, Véronique Gens, and Matthieu Lécroart. The Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège and Choeur de chambre de Namur are conducted by Gegely Madaras. Palazzeto Bru Zane releases the album.
