The Theatre of Early Music in collaboration with the Schola Cantorum present a music and dance adaptation of Henry Purcell’s “Dido and Aeneas.”

Leading instrumentalists from Tafelmusik and the Theatre of Early Music join soprano Sinead White in the title role of Dido, Juno-award winning baritone Alexander Dobson as Aeneas, and countertenor Ryan McDonald as the Sorceress. The orchestra is directed under the baton of Daniel Taylor.

Moreover,ballerina Evelyn Hart will come out of retirement just for the performances.

“Dido and Aeneas” will be staged at Trinity St-Paul’s in Toronto on Nov. 21 and 22.
