The Philharmonia Orchestra in the U.K. has unveiled the first half of its 2024-25 season. Here is a rundown of the vocal performances on offer.

First up is a program featuring works by Grieg and Sibelius as well as the U.K. premiere of María Huld Markan Sigfúsdóttir’s “Oceans.” Soprano Johanna Rusanen and baritone Tommi Hakala are the vocal soloists on the performance. Also joining them is the Ylioppilaskunnan Laulajat Male Voice Choir. Santtu-Matias Rouvali conducts the performance.

Ella Taylor stars in a performance featuring premieres by Kaija Saariaho and Hans Abrahamsen. Chloe Rooke conducts.

Performance Date: Oct. 6, 2024

Sasha Cooke performs songs by Gustav and Alma Mahler. Marin Alsop conducts the program, which also includes Gustav Mahler’s Fifth Symphony.
