Works & Process Names New Chair Emeritus
By David SalazarWorks & Process has named Stephen Kroll Reidy to the position of Chair Emeritus.
He takes over for Bart Friedman who has stepped down from the position that he has held since 2008. Friedman also served as Vice Chair of The Juilliard School and has served on boards of The Brookings Institution, Lincoln Center for The Performing Arts, and as a member of the Membership Committee of the Council on Foreign Relations, among others.
Reidy has been on the board for eight years where he has served on the Finance Committee. He has also been a member of the Board of the New York City Ballet and is Vice Chair of the Paul Taylor Dance Company, Board President of BalletCollective, and is on the board of Dance Lab New York.
“I am honored to have served as Board Chair of Works & Process, and am proud of all we have accomplished together,” said Friedman, who took over for organization’s founder Mary Sharp Cronson and oversaw the company earning major grants from mellon and Doris Duke Foundation, among other accolades, in an official press statement. “We are well-positioned for a strong future supporting artists and their creative process, and Stephen is the leader to bring us into the next chapter. He is committed to artists, learning what their needs are, and how to aggregate the resources and build systems to best support them. Stephen will be a phenomenal Chair.”
