San Francisco Performances Cancels Concert Featuring Tenor Ilker Arcayüerk

San Francisco Performances has canceled the April 1, 2022 concert featuring tenor Ilker Arcayüerk and Simon Lepper.

The company stated that the reason for cancelation was due to visa issues for the artists.

Arcayürek is an Turkish-born Austrian tenor who won the International Art Song Competition of German’s Hugo Wolf Academy. He is a two-time OPUS KLASSIK Award nominee and has performed with such organizations as the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, Tonkünstler-Orchester, Tokyo Philharmonic, RSO Vienna, Orchestre National de Belgique, Orchestre National de Lyon, Danish Chamber Orchestra, Netherlands Radio Philharmonic, Antwerp Symphony, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Royal Northern Sinfonia under conductors such as Mariss Jansons, Ivor Bolton, Laurence Equilbey, Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla, Philippe Herreweghe, Riccardo Minasi, Mikhail Pletnev, Lars Vogt and Adam Fischer, among others.

He is scheduled to appear at the Opéra National de Montpelier later this year for “Szenen aus Goethes Faust” as well as the Canadian Opera Company for a production of “Die Zauberflöte.”
