San Diego Opera Names New Artistic Administrator

San Diego Opera has announced that Adam Cioffari will be its new Artistic Administrator.

In his new role, Cioffari will team up with the artistic and production teams to work on new programming for the company as well as securing new and top-tier talent.

“It is a true privilege to join the team at San Diego Opera, a real cultural bastion with a rich history,” said Cioffari in an official press release. “I look forward to collaborating with the SDO team and the visiting artists to produce engaging and enthralling musical storytelling of the highest quality.”

Cioffari’s previous experience had him working in administrative roles at the Merola Opera Progam, Sarasota Opera, Maryland Lyric Opera, and Opera Project Columbus. As a bass-baritone, he performed with organizations such as Central City Opera, Glimmerglass Festival, Dayton Opera, New York City Opera, and Staatsoper Stuttgart, among others.
