Royal Opera Ballet & Opera Announces Cast Change for ‘Die Walküre’
By Francisco SalazarThe Royal Ballet And Opera has announced a cast change for its production of “Die Walküre.”
The company said, “Natalya Romaniw will be making her role debut as Sieglinde replacing Lise Davidsen who is expecting her first two children.”
Romaniw has performed at the Royal Opera House on numerous occasions in “Tosca.” She has also performed at the Welsh National Opera, English National Opera, Scottish Opera, Garsington Opera, Opera Holland Park, and Houston Grand Opera Studio.
Romaniw will join a cast that includes Christopher Maltman, Elisabet Strid, Stanislas de Barbeyrac, Soloman Howard, and Marina Prudenskaya. Sie Antonio Pappano conducts te production by Barrie Kosky.
“Die Walküre” will open on May 1 and run through May 17, 2025.
