Resonance Works is set to present Bach’s dramatic St. John Passion.

The performance will feature baritone Joshua Jeremiah in the role of Pilate, Serbian baritone Ivan Plazačić will sing the role of Jesus Christ, and noted Bach interpreter tenor Joseph Gaines will be the principal storyteller in the passions.

The cast is joined by the Resonance Chamber Orchestra and Chorus, conducted by founder and Artistic Director Maria Sensi Sellner.

The concert will also showcase an impressive cast of aria soloists including Katy Williams, Christina English, former Pittsburgh Opera Resident Artist Corrie Stallings, and emerging artists Thespina Christulides, George Milosh, and William Ottow.

“This is a work that we have wanted to present for several years, and the stars finally aligned. It’s the major work that I have had the longest relationship with as a conductor,” Artistic & General Director Maria Sensi Sellner said in a press release.

Performances are set for March 22 and 24, 2019.
