Pacific Chorale’s 16th Annual Choral Festival will culminating in a free performance of Haydn’s “Mass in Time of War.”

Conductor Robert Istad leads the Pacific Chorale’s Festival Choir in the final concert. Also on the program is the world premiere of Dr. Jung-a Lee’s new work “Hommage à Haydn.” The composer gives the premiere at the organ.

Pacific Chorale’s Annual Choral Festival draws hundreds of community singers from across the region. Following three days of rehearsal, they combine forces with members of the GRAMMY®-winning Pacific Chorale to create the Festival Choir, raising their collective voices in song for this free performance.

The concert takes place August 11, 2024, at 5 p.m., at the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall in Costa Mesa. The concert is free to the public, but tickets are required. Concert-goers are encouraged to bring canned goods for a month-long community food drive, which will conclude with Pacific Chorale’s season-opening program, “To the Hands,” in September.
