Opéra de Rennes unveils its 2026-27 season.

Tenor Ismaël El Mechrafi hosts “Introduction to choral singing.”

Soprano Amandine Ammirati, tenor Kaëlig Boché, and pianist Elisa Bellanger give a concert of opera and Broadway classics.

Chloé Dufresne conducts Ted Huffman’s production of Massenet’s “Werther” staring Julien Behr, Lucie Peyramaure, Anas Séguin, Manon Lamaison, and Benoit-Joseph Meier. Florent Karrer, Marc Scoffoni, Mathilde Pajot Katchen, and Ismaël El Mechrafi make up the cast. They are joined by the National Orchestra of Brittany and soloists from the Brittany Choir School.

The Voix Nouvelles competition returns for its 6th edition.

Opéra de Rennes and Les Champs Libres present a rebroadcast of Offenbach’s “Robinson Crusoé” recorded in June.

Jean-Marie Machado’s “Cantos Brujos” stars soprano Karine Sérafin. Machado accompanies at the piano with instrumentalists Séverine Morfin and Cécile Grenier, and the Danzas Orchestra. Dancer Cristina Hall also performs.

John Blow’s “Venus and Adonis” features soprano Apolline Raï-Westphal and baritone Dominic Sedgwic with the musicians of Le Banquet Céleste.

Mezzo-soprano Ema Nikolovska performs works by Schubert with the National Orchestra of Brittany under the baton of Nicolas Ellis. They are joined by actor Dylan Maréchal.

Mezzo-sopranos Éléonore Pancrazi and Lucile Richardot present David Lescot and Samuel Hengebaert’s “Forbidden Music” alongside the musicians of ActeSix.

Soprano Marie Théoleyre and baritone Jean-Christophe Lanièce solo in Fauré’s “Requiem.” Also on the program is the world premiere of Philippe Hersant’s “In Paradiso.” Gildas Pungier leads the Mélisme(s) Chamber Choir and Nicolas Ellis conducts the National Orchestra of Brittany.

Philippe Boesmans and Joël Pommerat’s opera “Pinocchio” stars sopranos Anaïs Merlin and Vibe Rouvet, mezzo-sopranos Aliénor Feix and Marion Vergez Pascal, tenor Jordan Mouaïssia, and baritones René Ramos Premier, Jean-Luc Ballestra, and Romain Dayez. Ambre Kahan directs and Fiona Monbet and Léo Margue serve as musical directors.

Mozart’s “Così fan tutte” features sopranos Elsa Benoit and Camille Poul, mezzo-soprano Ambroisine Bré, tenor Kaëlig Boché, and baritones Jean-Christophe Lanièce and Guilhem Worms. They are joined by the Mélisme(s) Chamber Choir and National Orchestra of Brittany led by Nicolas Ellis. Phia Ménard directs this Opéra de Rennes, Angers Nantes Opera, and Nancy-Lorraine National Opera co-production.

A tour of Rameau’s “Platée” features sopranos Catherine Trottmann and Lila Dufy, countertenor Ilja Aksionovas, baritone Guilhem Worms, and bass Mathieu Gourlet, along with the Mélisme(s) Chamber Choir. Camille Delaforge conducts

Gluck’s “Orpheus and Eurydice” stars sopranos Jenny Daviet and Mariamelle Lamagat and tenor Sahy Ratia. Alphonse Cemin conducts the Angers Nantes Opéra Choir and the National Orchestra of Brittany. Lorraine de Sagazan directs.
