Orpheus Music Project to Stream ‘SONGBREAK: Songs for our Wellbeing’
By David SalazarMinneapolis-based Orpheus Music Project will premiere “SONGBREAK: Songs for our Wellbeing,” a virtual vocal concert, on Vimeo on March 21, 2021.
The 90-minute concert will be presented in collaboration with Minnesota Community Care, which provides humanitarian-based healthcare to members of the Minneapolis community. The showcase will feature soprano Riley Cardona and bass Brian Haase alongside pianist Bryon Wilson as they perform 15 works of art song, opera, zarzuela, and American Musical theater.
Cardona hails from South Dakota and has appeared with such companies as Florida Grand Opera, Sarasota Opera, The Schubert Club, the Kenwood Symphony, Source Song Festival, St. John’s Luther and Church, and the South Metro Chorale, among others.
Haase, who hails from Wisconsin, has performed with such organizations as the Aspen Music Festival, the Schubert Club, and the Exultate Chorus.
