Operalia will be hosted by the Bulgaria Concert Hall in Sofia from October 20 to 26, 2025. The quarterfinals will be held on Oct. 20 & 21 at the Bulgaria Concert Hall, while the Semifinals will be on Oct. 22 at the Bulgaria Concert Hall. Finally, the finals are on Oct. 26 at Ivan Vazov National Theatre.
Created in 1993 by Plácido Domingo, the competition has been held in Mumbai, Russia, Los Angeles, Prague, Cape Town, Riga, Verona, and London, among others. Past winners include Kathleen O’Mara, Le Bu, Juliana Grigoryan, Anthony León, Adriana Gonzalez, Xabier Anduaga, Adela Zaharia, and Levy Sekgapane.
