Opera Project Columbus Releases Filmed Production of Rossini’s ‘Petite Messe Solennelle’

Opera Project Columbus has released a filmed version of Rossini’s “Petite Messe Solennelle.”

Filmed before a limited audience at the Lincoln Theater in Columbus, Ohio on Mar 20, 2021, the production is led by Music Director Alessandro Siciliani.

The cast includes soprano Caroline Bergman, mezzo Lauren McAllister, tenor Victor Cardamone, and baritone Robert Kerr. Chorus Master Dr. Marc Heeg and Artistic Administrator Ed Bak perform as pianists in the recording, with Mark Rubinstein playing the accordion.

The production was supported by The Ohio Arts Council, with money from the CARES Act. OPC released this video as a gift to the communities celebrating Easter from home, with the recording being dedicated to the memory of Samuel Hall.
