Opera Project Columbus Launches Virtual Intensive Vocal Academy

Opera Project Columbus has announced the launch of the Virtual Intensive Vocal Academy, which is set to take place throughout February 2021.

The opera-focused courses will take place over Zoom and will be geared toward audience members and general music lovers.

The series kicks off with “A Tour of Opera in Italy.” The course will be led by famed author and opera scholar Fred Plotkin.

Streaming Date: Feb. 3, 2021

Next up is “From South High School to La Scala, My Life as a Leading International Singer.” The course will be presented by mezzo-soprano Eugenie Grinewald.

Streaming Date: Feb. 10, 2021

Charles Caine will present “My 50 Years of Dressing Opera Stars at The Met,” which will include a treasure trove of stories of some of opera’s most renowned artists.

Streaming Date: Feb. 17, 2021

The series draws to a close with “Ask the Maestro,” which will be led by conductor Alessandro Siciliani and pianist Ed Bak.
