Opera Festival Scotland Reschedules Season to 2022
By Francisco SalazarOpera Festival Scotland has rescheduled its annual season to September 2022.
The festival announced that the board made the decision due to ongoing restrictions surrounding larger indoor events taking place this year, limitations on travel, and public confidence regarding attending events.
The board added, “with many moving parts and partners, rescheduling the inaugural festival will allow audience members and participants the chance to enjoy the event with confidence and gives the festival the opportunity to deliver its exciting program.”
The Opera Festival Scotland launched a young artist competition earlier in January and was set to take place in September 2021 with artists performing alongside the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and conductor John Frederick Hudson.
The festival’s new dates will be Sept. 22, 23, 24, and 25, 2022.
