Opera BOX has unveiled its 2023-24 season.

First up, the company will present “Kantelinen: Xmas is bling – Santas in Trouble.” The showcase will be directed by Ville Saukkonen and explores the story of Viola as she manages the chaos created by three Santas at an airport.

Performance Dates: Dec. 15, 2023 – Jan. 6, 2024

Next up is Prokofiev’s “The Love of Three Oranges.”

Performance Dates: March 21 – April 14, 2024

Then comes the Naantali Music Festival.

Performance Dates: Sept. 27 – 29, 2024

The company also announced “Project Butterfly” in collaboration with Modena Opera House and Gdasnk Batlic Opera. The project will bring the three companies togehter in a mission to reduce carbon emissions in opera production.

Opera BOX will also present Berndt Richard Crusell’s first oper a”Lilla Slavinna” at some point in 2024.
